    Disk brake conversion master cylinder q's

    Since i am swapping in a set of FJ axles that will have disks all around i am looking into what kind of master cylinder i will need for it.

    I dont have a booster, yet and would prefer to keep them manual.

    Any suggestions as to LR MC's or should i go with getting a booster and then do the Ford MC?

    Any other options?

    Why not use the MC and proportioning valve from the same truck that your axles came from as it was all designed to work together.
    Although you make need to use an adjustable proportioning valve to compensate for the weight difference?

      I don't think manual brakes and discs are a good idea. You cna do without the booster with drums because of the physics of it, they are self energizing, With discs though it takes a lot of force to hold the discs, If you have ever been in a F+R disc vehicle and had it stall or something you'll see what I mean.

      I'd look into the Ford MC setup or the Land Cruiser's.
