    Parts catalogue

What is the difference between a genuine LR parts catalogue and a Unipart parts catalogue?

Isn't Unipart an independent auto parts outlet in the UK?

Yes. But they have a catalog that looks similar the LR catalog. It's for a SIII. Just wondering if it has the same pictures inside?

Unipart grew out of British Leyland, once the parent company of Land Rover. During the 80's and 90's, you saw their advertisements as the provider of parts for all the former BL marques - MG, Triumph, Rover, Austin, etc. So it's not surprising that their catalogues would have the same line drawings or photos as Land Rover's parts catalogues.

The arrangement was similar to what we saw in the US with AC Delco and GM, and Motocraft and Ford.

When Land Rover was sold out from the successors of BL, Land Rover created its own parts operations. I also believe that Unipart was spun off when BMW gained control of the Mini, Land Rover, Rover and Triumph marques, and took over those parts operations.
