Friend of mine had his D1 transformed into a formable trail rig by Roverlab, they appear to do great work.

She's a Chessie but still a retriever and she loves to hand her head out of the IIa- I'll get some pics of her in the Rover when I get the seats in.

I really miss my Lab who had to be put down about 2 years ago due to cancer. Really want to get another one and will someday. They are the only breed of dog that I will consider.

Trevor at Roverlab did an exceptional job on my roll cage! I think Francis the Lab ensured that it passed the lab test. OK, that was weak.

Anyway, does an English Staffordshire Bull terrier count? I dont think I can open my own thread on that breed. Built like a brick, kind of like a mini pit bull, but a big softy! Nonetheless, a dog that loves the series!

Here are 2 of my Rovers! My dog Maggie (lab/Aussie shepherd mix is my best guess) is kind of special Roverwise as I got her from one of the guys at Brit Pac 12 years ago when they were still in Burbank. He offered me his truck for $2500 and the puppy for free, or if that was too much for the truck I could buy the puppy for $2500 and have the truck for free!

In the end I did come back and get the puppy but passed on the truck. One of these days Maggie and I need to go by Brit Pac again even if it is just to say hello. She has been a wonderful dog for all these years. Lucky for Maggie my wife like her! Of course it is lucky for my wife that when they first met Maggie liked her!

1st pic is of Maggie and my '65 SW
the others are of her on a staircase in Maine and in the mountains east of San Diego near the town of Jacumba.

Now that the breed barrier has been broken - Rocky knows a good place for a snack when he sees one.

Sorry to hear the recent loses. Hopefully this thread brings up happy memories and not sad ones..

Ha ha, there's no breed barrier to this thread ( I'm just bias because I'm a lab owner) just as long as your dog enjoys rovers as much as we do.
