The green bible says that the 3.5 litre V8 should have a minimum compression test of 135psi. I measured mine today and got readings of about 100psi (wet and dry). They were pretty balanced all the way around.

This does not sound that bad. What do you think?

I get a little blue smoke from the tail pipe and I am not sure if it is rings or valve seals or just what....

It was nice seeing you up in Maine.

It's more the differences between the cyl. If you have one cyl that's 100psi and one at 145psi and one at 80psi. That would be bad. In tech school they always say it's the % of the readings. 10% difference is normal.

I bet if you got a different tester and retested it the reading would be different.

You can always do a leak-down test
