Im in the process of rebuilding my 109 ex mod and in several places i need to touch up the undercoating on the frame and some other spots. Is there a product out there (waxoil?) that would blend into the original stuff as far as texture and hardness? Thanks

i once heard that the "original" undercoating on MOD vehicles was just the mechanics splashing the used motor oil on to the underside :D

The original MOD undercoating was good but has several drawbacks that appear with age. It does get stiff and brittle and therefore cracks. Water can then penetrate and is now trapped against the metal of your chassis. It is also a pigs arse to remove.

Waxoyl works well enough but on my 101 I mixed engien oil (New cheap stuff) with turps IIRC and brushed that on as it penetrates a bit better. CLeanthe chassis afterwards and then top coat with the black hardwax.
