Fellow Enthusiasts,

I am in the process of a ground-up restoration of my 1964 IIA 88. Part of the restoration is converting from RHD to LHD. I plan on using the same accelerator pedal and shaft, but the shaft is way too long. Could I impose on one of my LHD friends to measure the length of their accelerator pedal shaft? (This is the rod that goes through the footwell into the engine bay.)

Thanks!

Myron

Why switch it to left hand drive?

It confuses cops at the surprise stops for drunk drivers and if you have a dog they love it as do other people driving by! I have actually had people get out of their cars and take pictures at stop lights!

Of course the down side is that if you don't have anyone in the passenger seat you need to back thru drive-thru ATM's and using passcards in parking structures can be quite interesting!

I've got a couple of extra LHD accelerator petals avaliable from a prior redo. Make me an offer if you want one.
