    Weber Carb adapter plate.....

    Hi there,
Realized that my 72 sIII needs an adapter piece before I'm able to install the new Weber I just got from our hosts.

I not trying to buy the new kit. Does anyone have this piece laying around in their parts collection somewhere?

    Thanks & stay dry.

It has a Rochester carb. The original owner put it on.

In my humble opinion you should keep the Rochester.
        1958 107 SW - Sold to a better home
        1965 109 SW - nearly running well
1966 88 SW - running but needing attention
        1969 109 P-UP

I would but it's in pretty bad shape. It's causing all types of driving issues. Also the gas leaks are hitting the manifold where it burns off and causes a trail of fumes. It's extremely annoying, not to mention hazardous to my health & any one behind me.

Good news however, I found the adapter locally for $50

Since you found the adapter, go ahead and put the Weber on, but I would have the Rochester re-built.

If you want to make sure that you have the correct type of Rochester, check out Terri-Ann's site.

If you do have the correct Rochester, have it re-built and keep it as a spare.
