    Flasher unit longevity

Got tired of people waving back at me when I was using hand signals, and so decided to replace my burned out flasher unit. I ordered the correct Lucas part, and everything was fine - for about two weeks. Now nothing. Bulbs are new. Could this have just been a bad'un? Six months, yeah...but two weeks?

    Diagnostics...

Have you done all the prerequisite checks? Power in, grounds are good, etc.

I got sick of dealing with my flasher units.
Took it up to NAPA and got an electronic on that matched up and never looked back. I think is was around $12?
But it has been so long I don't remember for sure.

I want to say it was a Wagner and is blue plastic?

Yeah everything checked out fine...I'll hit it again of course, but the unit seems to be the weakest link. I may go the electronic route. I know some Triumph and MG guys that had the same problem with their flashers (probably the same part) and recommended that fix.

I ended up going electronic too. It was well worth it.
