I am installing a 200 TDI in my Series III. I understand the stock motor mounts work, but I assume that is Series ones and not the Defender mounts that came with the engine. I gave my 4 cyl away so I no longer have the mounts from it, where do I get them, meaning the actual bracket not the rubber mounts.

left side should work with the defender engine bracket and the series chassis mounting point.
right side will work with the defender engine bracket if you modify the chassis to mimic the defender 4cyl mounting point.
or get a disco timing case and associated bits and use the right side mounts from that. the disco had the IP higher up so it will clear the stock series chassis mounting pointA Land Rover would never turn up to collect an Oscar. It'd be far too busy doing something important, somewhere, for someone."

Working on this very issue. You are very lucky if you have the Defender mounts. The 2.25 right side mount will not work. Left Okay, but right, no dice.... First link below shows the problem and provides a solution (Defender Mount). I think I have a good picture showing the chassis mount on my machine at home. Let me know and I can post.

CliftonRover put in a good post covering the Defender 200tdi swap:

Doesn't really cover your mount sourcing issue, but the other information might be beneficial. Personally, I am going to use the old mount, and have it fabricated in such a way as to reuse it. Hopefully, it will be done in a week or so.Comment

I would recommend fabricating the right side mount it is fairly straight forward.
On a side note make sure you reseal the entire 200tdi before you install it if you got it used. I got mine with 60k on it and I have to pull it out because it leaks engine oil so badly.Comment
