hello all,
Going to have my military springs re-arched and apply the tape from terri-anns site, the question is should I upgrade the shocks to pro-comp( more modern) or just go with new heavy duty standard replacement ones??
thanks

the pro-comps changed my ride substantially, for the better.

I was so amazed at my spring and shock upgrade. I went with the Rocky Mountain parabloic springs and OME shocks. The change was amazing!

Unless they have improved greatly since my son had them on his Jeep my vote is for OMEs.

When I went with new genuine LR springs in the rear (from our hosts) I also went with the standard oil filled shocks. Acording to them and others I spoke with the standard spring (non-parabolic) doesn't require a more active shock due to it's greater stiffness. You may be spending more than you need with the gas...mine is riding great (for a Series..the way it was ment to be) with the standard set-up.
