As I do some light disasemby of parts on my Rover, I had a thought of perhaps wraping the threads of the bolts treads with teflon tape to prevent them from seizing, and aiding in future removal. Is this a good idea? I know you shouldn't do this where oil could be contaminated, like on filler plugs, etc, but what about on body panel bolts? I thought it might hold better than copper slip. I know many here are more mechanically savy than I, so I thought I would get the experts opinion first.

Why not just use anti-seize? Fast, effective, durable and designed for exactly this purpose.

I would think the ease of dabbing a little anti-seize on the threads vs wrapping them with dope tape would make me go with anti-seize.

I found some in stick form - perfect for this. Do muss, no fuss.
