Is anyone looking for 7.50X16 tires? I have several sets of Bridgestone Utraction 7.50X16 tires for sale. These are brand new take offs from brand new 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser pickups. These are not available in the US but happened to come in a package deal of some parts I imported. These are biased ply and are tubeless.

$65 each or $300 for a set of 5. Located in Colorado 81410

I would have run them on my old 88" but I don't have it anymore :(

Please call 970-596-0949 or email me at:

Thanks.

I purchased 11. What exactly do you want to know? I know John is on an Alaskan cruiser trek so Jeremiah is trying to keep up with things while John is away. Jeremiah's email is jeremiah@proffittscruisers.com.

Great tires for the price especially if you're looking for an original looking tire. They are tubeless tires, however when proffit's received them they were on 2 piece cruiser rims with tubes. They threw in the tubes with my deal, you might be able to get them to do the same if you need tubes.

I currently have these on my S3 88". They are popular in the UK. I would be interested in 4 depending on the shipping cost. Can this be determined???? Thanks

FYI, John gave me a ship quote on 5 of about $150 to Eastern Iowa (52801). Having had tires shipped before, I don't suspect it would be much more than that, even to Georgia .

Freight was MORE expensive, surprisingly. Might be a pickup issue on his (somewhat remote) end, though.

Rumor is, Greyhound has good deals, but I'd bet john's a ways from a terminal.

He suggested I check with Uship.com. I haven't yet. Be a few more weeks of wiring and then tuning before I really need new tires, so it can wait. though I may be passing up a killer deal, if I do.

Sorry about not responding to this thread for awhile. I have been in Alaska for 6 weeks and just got home last week.

We have some more of these tires. So far we have seen the most interest from the Rover community. Thanks!

We also have a better deal on shipping as we found a shipping company that is now giving us a pretty good deal. For those interested in tires, please contact me. I think this new shipping company will beat the old shipping quotes I was previously getting.

I am seeing the Interco Express Tractions at Nebraska Tire for $94.99

siii8873: I apologize for not responding but I don't recall every seeing your emails. Please try again if you are still interested. You also might want to call as that might be easier.

Thanks.

You're making me regret ditching my stock steel wheels for NATO steel wheels!

John - do you have a manufacture date on these tires? And are the sets you have now still take-offs? Thanks

I will have to look for a date on the side wall. I am not sure if they have the date or not since they are non-USA tires.

Yes, they are brand new take offs from 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser pickups. They typically have 2-3 km's on them. They drive from the Toyota plant onto a truck and off the truck onto the ocean freighter. Off of the ocean freighter onto some trucks and then off of the trucks into the facility where the bodies, wheels/tires, etc are pulled. 3 km's at the most. The tires still have the nubs on them.

John - PM sent.

Jack: PM returned.

For those people who are wondering about a build date, each tire is stamped. Most of them are from Dec. 2008 and others are from early 2009.

I would love to get these things out of my way. I am not in the tire business, nor do I want to be. I ended up with these things from a business deal and I would love to get them sold.

Thanks.

To help out with shipping costs for people, I am now offering sets of 5 for $300. That is as low as I can go.

I want these things gone as I need the room.

total newb question here, but aren't the OG rims that we all run on our series two-piece and require tubes?

i'm getting one of these bridgestones as my spare from john (which is tubeless), but i'm not sure if i should also order the tube for the old school rim...

The Series rims are meant to have tubes and I have tried to run tubes in a tubeless tyre, but I had allot of punctures , no foreign objects (I been told by a tyre specialist that it's because of the grooves on the inside of the tubeless tyre). So I removed the tubes and I have not had any punctures since. The reason that the original rims need tubes, is due to the lack of a bead / edge that prevents the tire from popping off the rim, when the tire pressure is decreased, for example when sand driving. The second reason is that a riveted rim is not always quite air tight, which I've never experienced in my 21 years with Land Rovers.

There are specific tubes for biased ply, and radial ply. I have run tubes on most landies that I keep for a while, and Never had a flat related to tube fit. It is necessary that there be a "Flap" around the ID of the rim before puting a tube on.

I don't know if they haveradial tubes in europe, whenever I mention radial tubes to a european they think I am crazy. There are definitely radial tubes in North America though.

I have seen tubes fail because of a tiny label inside a tire so if you do fit them make sure there are no tags inside and that you use plenty of talc.

I have officially sold out of all the tires. Thanks for the interest everyone.

Talc is a must I have found over the years with any tube. Keeps the rubber from sticking inside over time. Heat can be generated within tube/tire combo. I have had to do field repairs before and fixing a tubeless with a 15 dollar Wal-Mart kit still on the rim sure is a lot easier than taking a bead off and patching a tube. If its really far gone, that what the spare if for.:thumb-up:
