OK...I've had my 1963 Series IIA for a whole week and haven't driven it yet...I'm waiting on a new brake drum but while I was waiting I noticed that one of my gauges just stopped working.
While tracing to find the easy stuff (fuses...wiring loose, etc.)...I bumped against the voltage regulator...not hard but it moved the cover just a little...well then all heck broke loose...it started sparking behind the cover and I started checking for hot wires...the wires kept getting hotter so I disconnected the battery ASAP...didn't want to burn what looks to be a brand new wiring harness.
So...electricity not being my strong point...is there any way to "test" this voltage regulator now?
