Trouble getting up the hill

The truck (58 Series I) runs great until you try to climb a hill. The engine bogs down and backfires/sputters which intern causes a loss of power. Any ideas?

It's a Solex

Sounds like the truck is leaning out. Could be a problem with your fuel pump or perhaps your float bowl being effected by gravity when you climb the hill.
