I was getting 11 mpg with a Rochester carb, and 14.5 mpg with a 1V Weber. There was a notable difference in power with the Rochester carb.

The jet on the Rochester was just a bit too large for my altitude, so I could have installed a smaller jet which would have likely improved my mpg.

I didn't notice any MPG difference between the two. Then again I drive a heavy 109 and drive it like I stole it.

Power of the Rochester is significant over the Weber but install an extension on the breather tube coming out of the top of the rochester for GOOD off road performance.

Otherwise it'll bog down on hills, cut out and generally piss you off.

My experience was similar to Bob's. From 10 with Rochester to 13.8 with Weber.

A loss of power, but no difference in top end. I tend to take off slow anyway, so don't miss the power at all.
