any reason why one shouldn't switch to permatex gasket sealant (or similar), when mating transmission components (e.g., transfer box to main casing).
the manual calls for grease, but i'm thinking a real gasket sealer in addition to the paper gaskets may eliminate leaks.
if there is no real difference, i'll save my money and keep using bearing grease.
