GM Alternator in stock position... Pics please

Does anyone have pics of a GM 10si style Alternator mounted to a 2.25L in the stock position using the original serIII mount? I searched the threads here (and ther are many) but I failed to find any really good pics of this altered , shimmed or otherwise adpated mount. I really like Ike's mount too, I'm just looking at all my options... Thanks. Talbot

Mounted using existing dynamo brackets except for the upper slotted one. Filed a step in the large ear of the alternator to make the pulley line up. I machined a large through bolt and a spacer for the bottom bracket. The belt that fits is the same one for the power steering pump for a '98 Neon. Fits in as tight as it can get and still able to squeeze the belt on.:thumb-up:

I had mine mounted in the stock location. Got too wet, muddy and dusty. Picked up one of Ike's mounts and haven't looked back. Keeps it up out of the muck and can be changed without being a contortionist or fiddling with washers and spacers from underneath the truck while laying in the snow or mud.

Laying in the snow and mud? Sounds like you fitted it from inside the cab.:thumb-up:

I'll look, see if I can find some; I do have a 10si mounted in the stock location, w/o any special brackets. What I had to do, though, was flip the alternator over, so that I was actually using the adjustable mount side down at the pivot point, and the pivot was attached to the adjuster bracket; the alteration I had to make was to put a dog-leg into the adjuster bracket to step it out a 1/4" or so to be in plane w/ the screwmount's surface.
