So I gave the Clarion head unit I bought my 97 ST with a nice shower the other week and it needs to be replaced. I want to install the below Clarion marine unit:

My question is will this work with the factory amp? I read through this thread:

...but didn't really think that it applied to my predicament.
I am willing to go with a whole new head deck, amp and speakers if that is easier/ more cost effective, but I really just want a plug and play solution for the time being.
Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.
