Ok, since i am still looking at getting another Disco one thing i have thought long and hard about is doing an engine swap on one that has craped its V8. This would be almost impossible with an auto trany unless i replaced the trany and possibly the tcase too. (think Atlas 4:1). Has anyone done anything like this, besides with a 200 or 300 turbo diesel?
Thinking about either a chevy or ford small block, possibly a chevy V8 diesel. Axles would most likely need to be upgraded too.
