When I left it running yesterday (03 DISCO/40K miles) with the heat on (wife stayed in the car), I noticed a loud banging sound. I immediately ran back and shut off the heater and it stopped. Upon turning the heater on again, after a while it came (and went) randomly.
Heat output is fine, so I am guessing it is perhaps the motor, or fan blade?? Has anyone accessed the fan motor housing? If so, where is it located? Easy to access or a nightmare?!
Any tips appreciated! May have a go at it this weekend.
