heater hose attachment under hood

I am going to attach the heater hose from my old kodiak heater to the....ahhh.....where ever it gets attached under the hood.
Should I use hose clamps???
Clamps for the under the hood attachments I mean. This is a series IIa with a rebuilt military engine. If anyone has a pic of both attachment places under the hood, that would be super!
