Just a quick note - there is a wonderful series of shows from Channel 4 in the UK under the River Cottage brand.
They are presented by a whimsical chef named Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall who left the big city to focus on local foods and farming. The first season or two he drive a old Corvair (or something)... but pretty soon he switched to a Stage 1.
In the 2nd episode of the 2009 series, titled "summers here" Hugh converts his stage 1 to bio diesel
The shows do not air in the US, although Amazon Unboxed had the first season for a while. And there are "other" ways to find them online...
