    Seat belt

Ref the seat belt fitting, the one I recommend is the RND100, this includes 2 seatbelts and buckles plus "U" shaped bracket for fixing behind the rear bulkhead. This works well if you have a soft top, having the shoulder anchors in the hard top sides does stop the belts from self tightening as you bounce down the road.

Well, I'll ask him, but I don't think he'll be very keen. Uh, he's already got one, you see. Oh, yes. It's very nice.

        Les,
Given that I already have a brand new pair of seatbelts, I really don't see spending $255 just to get a pair of brackets, eh?

And jp, I broke my angle grinder. (You know you're a Series Rover owner when, you've worn out the second one and are too poor to buy a 3rd angle grinder.... I think it's time I saved up and got an air-compressor to drive some tools to go along with the welder I'm still needing....)

Now, as long as I don't break this vice, too, I might get by....

Don't buy the el-cheapo models. Spend a few extra bucks and get a good one, you won't regret it. I have an old Hitatchi right angle grinder (about 10 years old) that'll still cut your arm clean off.

            Brackets

            Try this out:

I ordered my retractable shoulder belts from Seat Belts Pro for our IIA. Fair price. Brackets came with kit, but the link gets you to individual brackets for sale. I used the first one shown on the web page for the back of the bulkhead to mount the retractable unit. Works flawlessly!

hey, nice link. I bought the kit from wiseowl when I got too fat to use my old volvo belts in the 109. Too much guinness...

Then I found these and used them in my 88...

they work good mounted on the side cappingin the smae location as the OP was planning to use.

the end bracket is a little long but it's only an issue when the seatbelt is not being worn so IOW not an issue. You could pay to have them shortened and still come out cheaper than the Genuine LR stuff.

While that is true of a Series or Defender Land Rover, being seen at the Oscars and the "important" parties afterwards is excactly the kind of niche the Range Rover marketing folks are targeting.

This last one was a DeWalt!
