    Handbrake assembly parts

Anyone/MODS, know where you can get parts for the handbrake handle? I am assuming new parts are not available as I haven't seem listed here or anywhere else for that matter.

My button is stuck on mine so the linkage doesn't move the gear/tooth thingy to lock it in place to set the brake. Might as well fix it while I've got it all apart for the gearbox removal.

Mine is the long, straight handle if that matters.

    Thanks,
    J

You should be able to remove the whole thing ie. button and rod. Just try soaking it in PB Blaster etc, I took my SIIa one all apart and refiled the teeth.

the little white button will unscrew, there should be a spring inside the tube. take it all apart and clean and lube it. Should be good as new

        carefully.....

I was a little eager w mine and the threaded rod snapped off. Use extra PB Blaster ..... Button can be drilled and retapped, but my donor rover was available to provide a replacement....
        good luck.

I have an extra handle assembly I'm pretty sure. Let me know if you can't get yours up to snuff.
