Ignition switch - bypass position 2???

I need help in bypassing "position 2" on the ignition switch - In a previous post (snippet below) I have a problem with position 2 on the switch not working. I want to bypass the wiring to either put in another on/off switch just for #2 or just connect it all the time based on the keyed switch.

Does anyone know how I can do this easily? I only need it for about ~1 day~ until my replacement switch/harness arrives later this week.

    Old post:
"I have a 93 RRC petrol and I am having an issue with what I think is the key tumbler for the ignition. I have to hold the key to get the initial lightup of the dash, then when I turn it over, it starts fine, but if I let go of the key, it shuts off immediately. If I start it, but hold the key in place (so that it doesn't return on it's own, it keeps running. "

    thanks,
