something with a high zinc, or a additive for new engines to keep the camshaft happy.
I use Kendall 20w50 racing oil, it has 1200 ppm of zinc
I bought some oil additive once that can be used in any oil to restore the zinc .
1995 disco 1 (3.9 engine)
How many quarts of oil?
what type of brake fluid is best?
what type of trnsmission fluid is used? (how many quarts?)
What type of power steering flui??
Thanks patrick
Hello there,
These questions can be answered and many more by investing in a CD ROM:-

:)
The Land Rover power steering uses ATF. As previously posted I use Mobile 1 synthetic ATF for all of my ATF needs.
Land Rover recommends DOT 4 brake fluid. I typically use NAPA's brand. Do NOT use synthetic brake fluid, the seals are not up to the task. This is typically labeled as a DOT 5.
I know this is a old thread but for anyone who searches for a answer in the future might find this link interesting.
