    Default ABS linked to idle?

Is there any connection between the ABS and idle on a OBDII D1?

    Here is what happened.

Idle jumped from 700 to 2500ish while moving, it doesnt jump while its sitting still. Keep the rpm's above 2500 while driving and it doesnt surge, below 2500 and it does.

After a bit of brainstorming we decided to disable the ABS and the problem stopped.

    Any ideas?

    No codes were thrown.

    Thanks.
    Richard.

Not while it was doing it.

It has stumped a bunch of people so far.

To make matters even more confusing I reattached the abs and it drives fine now.

Need to have someone check if the abs is connected to anything remotely connected to idle control in the ecu or somewhere else. I would break out my rave but its in Maine and I am in Va for the next 4 weeks.

    Default Chance Coincidence

This makes no sense. They do not rely on one another. Interesting to say the least.
