Default Question on Sankey and IIa wheels

Hoping someone can answer this so I don't have to take tyres off in the snow and try for myself.

I just got a '71 Sankey and already have a '67 IIa ex-MOD undergoing restoration. I got four brand new tires with the Sankey but only two wheels.

I would like to get two more wheels for the Sankey but also use these wheels/tyres for spares for both the trailer and IIA.

I know that the tyres are the same size as the IIa, but the lug pattern and hub on the trailer wheels look slightly different than on the truck.

Can anyone confirm that the wheels on a '67 IIa and a '71 Sankey are the same? Specifically, will a Rovers North PLC880, ANR4636PM, or RNC873 wheel fit the Sankey?

    Where in Redding are you?

Yes the Sankey wheels and rover wheels are interchangeable. If you want to pop over to my house I can show you.

I put Discovery I steel wheels on my Sankey, to match those of originally the Airportable but now the 9 TEA, Ex-MOD 90 I drive in the summer. I have 265-75 tyres on both the 90 and Sankey, though I had to trim the wheelarches on the Sankey due to the width of the tyres. 3+ years of happy driving and only 1 spare to carry !!

I moved this thread into the Sankey sub-forum to get things going.

    Thanks, Thompson.
Maybe we'll see a Sankey picture on a RN mug at some point in the future?

I have a Sankey narrow I bought for 50 pounds with a rusty tub. I recently found a very nice tub for 60 pounds that I intend to sand blast and galvanize before mounting on the trailer. Plans also include making a lid for the trailer by narrowing a series roof. End goal is a camping trailer with an eezi awn roof top tent mounted on the trailer. Lots have built similar rigs from M416 and Canadian M101's but I haven't seen any built from a Sankey.

    Default Warning Triangle

Anyone manage to locate the rear warning triangles for a mid 60's Sankey?

I think those might be the later reflectors. Not sure though. The white perimeter I think is what's different.
Les, if you find some I'd be interested in a couple.

Edit: The style with the white border can be found here http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product...-TRIANGLE.html
