Cam wear question

Thought i posted this here too, guess i didnt hit the "submit" button.

Found this while i was tracking down a knock.
the gouge isnt on the top of the cam lobe, just the side. the tappet roller is only scored in the one spot in the picture.
Useable or a time bomb? Its from a 2.5L cam

That's a tough one. Looks like a piece of sand got in the motor some time. I used to be in the " got apart now might as well fix it club" now I find myself in the "put it back together and run it club". Your call.
