Headlights are easy. Just push in on the lens and turn it, and the whole assemby will come off. Remove the plug. You still have to deal with getting the screws undone (rusty?) for housing removal, but that is done on the bench.

Just a quick comment on this stellar rebuild, it might be worth while turning the canvas wrapping towards the vehicle, so when it rains (??) it does not gather in the side curtains - soaking you when you go to fasten the sides/rear flaps.

Well done on the job and the continued postings.

    Thanks Les,

I agree, i just picked up this top from a board member and it was different than my old windowless one. I used holes i poked and zip ties to roll those sides up the other way. It has straps and buckles that seem to be designed to roll up the way i have it, no? Im having my local sail repair lady beef the new top up and maybe add some marine zippers front to back to i can just zip the sides off and have the top secured with snaps or something the like. She is also taking my original top and converting it to a bikini style one.

I have to go ahead and put out there that I am very envious of you!! You live on the cape, spend about half your time at a well equipped airport, have an amazing truck (although seems you worked very hard for it, well I imagine you worked hard for all the rest of this stuff, also), sail maker neighbor customizing your tops, stumble upon hellova deal on an 8274, and the list probably goes on and on!!

Nice work man, enjoyed following your build, awesome truck.

I put new seats, floor mats and 2 rear benches on the 109 today, i will post pics of that soon. In the mean time, burned some gas on the beach this afternoon and had a great Easter sunset.

Im really loving live with a pickup cab.
