    Default 1963 88''

For years now, I've wanted to be a series owner. One year ago,I was fortunate enough to find a fairly solid truck in CO. I bought it and had it shipped back to NY.
I was the "newbie" on the board, and still feel very green when it comes to these trucks. Over the last year, I've asked stupid questions ,spilled copious amounts of my own blood, and through the help from everyone here have learned alot about my truck. This is my atempt at a build thread. By no means do I consider this a restoration.
This is the truck the way I found it in CO 1 1/2 yrs ago.

    First day on NY soil.

    Old steed, New stable

First project was last summer ,swapping out the bent front axle and pulling one from one of the donor vehicles.

It was a start. I was hooked.

Jan 25 2011 - Coldest week of the winter high of 0 low of -10,what better time to pull the tranny and replace the clutch. Simple job, yank it, replace it,shove it back in were good till spring ........

First look at the top of the frame rails. Not bad even some original black paint.

Maybe I should wire brush and dab a bit of paint o the top of rail before I put the seat box back in .
