    Exclamation 1996 Trek

I bought number 4 and it is in need of a lot of rust repair in the sills, rear door jam corners and a spot on the right windsheild pillar below the drip rail from being on the coast of Massachusetts. I need to know about patch panels if they are even available and anyone's experiences with these problem areas. I live in the PNW and my 98 is 100% rust free so it is a little discerning, but the Trek is a rare truck and rollers with blown heads are a dime a dozen for parts if need be.
I also am after any documentation of the event, trucks and pictures. This truck was used for Camel Trophy team selections after the Trek event so the door decals were replaced with CT team USA 1997 decals, black name tapes were removed from the fenders and rear doors and the Trek text was removed from the hood logo. I've confirmed from LRNA that is was built in May of 1996 and sold in April of 1997 as a demo. I do not know how many Treks were pulled for selections, but I am guessing only a few. This one is a R380 truck and I have been told half were automatics, same as the Eco Challenge trucks. I would assume only manual trucks were used for selections. This was also the cover truck in Autoweek magazine November 4th 1996....

So no one out there has any information about Trek 1996.... Information is very thin on the net. I only know of 2 others. 1 and 8... 1 was for sale last year in Indiana and 8 was in Georgia. No pictures of the event appear to exist nor info...
