Thread: What is it and is it rear???

Default What is it and is it rear???

I may have an opportunity to get a "defender"....or so I believe it is. It looks just like the Series , with the flush hood and slotted grill. It has the v8 and exterior roll cage. However from my research I gathered that the defenders had a one piece windshield, did some of the early defenders have a split windshield?
And yes it does have front disc, and coil springs.

Is this model desirable and more reliable than the regular series???

If it has a split windshield, it is more likely a series rover that has been "Defenderized" by somebody.

When you go look at that "Defender" ask to see the "Title" it comes with.

Do you have photos or more information? Is it a 109 or 88? If it has a V8, it could be a defenderized SIII Stage 1

Take a look under. If leaf springs, series. If coiler, Defender.

In the last sentence he mentioned it was coil sprung. I'm interested to see what chassis/body set up they used.

One thing's for sure, the truck may be rare, but certainly not rear....

As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words(and will help this thread from becoming 25 pages of playing 20 questions).
