    Default 1984 Double Cab TDI

    1984 galv chassis, 2002 td5 body shell, engine, gearbox and axles came from a 1997. Galvanised bulkhead, XS seats, heated front seats, cd/radio/mp3, lockable cubby box, Vesuvius orange Range Rover metallic paint, galv steering guard, NAS rear step bumper, side steps, privacy glass, electric front windows, central locking with alarm immobiliser, sound proofing, Exmoor trim black mohair rear canvas with new hoop set, Mantec swing away rear wheel carrier, Deep dish alloy wheels with BF Goodrich AT tyres.
    $45,000 plus shipping as is or $65,000 plus shipping converted to LHD with A/C. Truck currently in the UK, I have MANY more photos for those interested.

    sounds like an interesting truck and a potential nightmare to prove to the authorites that it is a legal import.

    Agreed...nothing sounds original prior to 87 on the truck, so how would they know if it's legal or not? Sounds best to do the resto in the states, after you've got it legally imported... GLWS nice truck

    This truck has the original 1984 chassis (galvanized) with original chassis numbers on the V5. So, it should pass customs inspection.

    Shipped over and titled, $55,000.00, or $75,000, converted to LHD with A/C.

    actually zack its better to do restorations over there. its much cheaper. they will put a new frame under a defender with all new lines and stuff for about 2400 pounds. but just dont build a 97 on an 87 frame cause then none of the numbers will match up and you will have a hard time proving otherwise

    for 65k people are better off going on ebay and finding a US defender. also if the engine came out of a 97 how does it have the original 84 chassis number on it?

    With the use of of weld in motor mounts.
