Iveco 2.5TD (no IC) with a lt77 and 1.4 lt230, RRC/D1 axles. Parts are a bit of a challenge, but I love it and it goes plenty fast in a coilsprung softtop Series II/a 88. Mr Robert Davis sells the adaptor.

Why do you love it? I have been thinking about a 200TDI or a Merc. But will have a 2.5NAD available.

I also have a 2.5NA in my 88. About the same performance as the 2.25 petrol but with much better mpg. And it sounds great.

    Default 4.3 GM V6

I put a throttle body injected GM 4.3 V6, NV3550, Advance Adapter, Ashcroft high ratio T-case in my 109.Bloody well love it. No bulkhead mods, no crossmember mods, no floor or seatbox mods. No nasty Tcase relocation. More power than any series Rover should ever have, perfect gearing, and mileage in the mid 20's. To me it's the perfect series Rover setup. Peter Knowles

Hmm...Is there a write-up with all the details on this somewhere on the interweb, Peter?

    Well, no, not exactly.
    Badly documented for now sadly.
Just the endless YouTube thing I never finished.

Just finishing up a 1963 2A 109 pickup with 200TDi. It's running and moving around the shop, should be on the road in about a week, I'm hoping it's as nice to drive as the Merc truck.

Im preparing to fit a Toyota 3B engine and its 5 speed tranny from a 1986 BJ70 Land Cruiser. I may start the swap this fall before the snow if everything is ready. If not will start the conversion this next spring.

It will go in my 1973 series 3 88''
