    Default manual transmission swap

So here is the deal ... i want to put a manual transmission in a 1996-1999 P38A because i want to build a trail rig that isn't a toyota 4runner like so many people in vancouver, canada and you can't beat the ultimate.
i need some help finding one that fits. Has anyone done this before?

    Eric,
this is a huge deal, as the auto is tied to the body computer etc. I would pic up one of the LR magazines from England, there are several sold at good book stores in USA, get an ATT calling card and call some of the companies in the back of those mags. They will tell you what you are up against. You will have to order all parts(which can be bought used) from England. This will be expensive too. Do all your research before you attempt this!!!!!!!!!

I would suggest staying with the Autobox. They are strong, pretty reliable(if they had their services done) and an auto can be a real life saver in some situations(both trannys have their + and -'s)

    Good Luck
