    Question rock slider questions

    Hi all,

Any one have them on a series vehicle and used them? Are they bolted on or welded? 88 or 109? Did they flex/ move, dent the body work? Pics of damage?
Not trying to determine if useful just best practice to attach.

    Thanks,
    gene

Attach them to the outriggers of the frame, bulkhead support, and tank supports. This is a set I made for a 109, basically a copy of what Ike Goss used to make.

Nice looking sliders - do you have drawings or prints that could be used to FAB them? I am going to make a set for my 109 and not having to field measure the attachements would be great.

    Hi Austin,
No prints, sorry. They are made out of 2x4 boxed steel. The easiest thing to do is make the slider body itself then come up with a way to hold them under the sill, make your angle iron brackets and tack them in place. I used simple scissor jacks with brackets welded on top to hold the slider bodies in place.........they (the sliders) are very heavy and this is a nice way to micro-adjust them before welding brackets on.

Nice project. Did you copy the mounting positions from Ike as well?
