Default Bringing back the Disco I

    Is it absurd? Probably-
But I was thinking this morning while having my coffee
What if Land Rover brought back Disco Series I. But fixed the areas
that were prone to failure/malfunction. It would be unstoppable,
and far superior! To the 10's of 1000 Discovery owners-
a sign from the Rover Gods.

Think how well it did in the 90's - what a hit!
It would sell and restore the name as a 4x4 vehicle.
Sure I know the LR3 and Newest Rangie can go offroad
But working on it from home is a joke.

Just a thought - any takers?

not a shabby idea.... the only catch is this - i wouldn't be able to afford it until i was 60 and all of my babies were off to college!!! By the time the average blue collar could get it it would need several hundreds of dollars in parts and maintenance at the least!

Now if they fixed the glitches and it never broke that would be great BUT then again you wouldn't need to be able to work on it either!!!!

By the way... would there be an anti-soccer mom deterant device standard in this new Disco?

Yeah it would be an anti -scream to the the back seats sensor
and if you set it off the vehicle's sun visor would slap you
    in the face.

seriously though, the price would be an issue, like ya said.
(only until 2040!!) But it would be a sight for sore eyes.
And worth every euro. (provided money is no object)

I like your comment on working on the Disco.
If I didn't have something I wanted to replace, upgrade
or fix I might feel lost.

Thanks for the feedback - Viva la Disco
