Thread: Locking hubs question

    Default Locking hubs question

I have locking hubs on my IIa (two levers on each that you rotate half a turn to lock/unlock). My younger son and his friend ended up playing around with the locking mechanism. The hubs levers are marked with a "locked"/"unlocked" but they are able to turn clockwise and counter clockwise more that just 180 degrees and I do not know the direction and how many times they rotated them in either direction. I set them back to the position that shows "unlocked" facing up and the truck seems to drive fine.

My question is whether there is any issue if they were rotated around multiple times or whether they are designed to be able to have that done without loosing up or having the settings get out of wack. If so how do I reset everything to be back in order? Thanks for the insight.

You own a set of "dualmatic" hubs. Try a google search for them. Lots of info

As you noted the levers can be rotated either direction and neither direction will tighten or loosen the moving part. No harm done.
