Thread: T case oil thrower

    Default T case oil thrower

Putting my series 2a gear box back together and had a question regarding the location of the oil thrower on the spacer that goes against the rear main bearing in the transfer case. Is it pressed on so the spacer is in contact with the bearing and the back of the spacer is flush with the back of the thrower. Or. Is it just pushed on leaving a gap between the spacer and the bearing and the spacer sticking out past the back of the thrower?? Thanks

I finished my tranny a couple of months ago. As I remember when you put the speedo housing on (with the proper shimming of course) everything gets crammed tightly together. I'll verify that tonight though.
