Default Engine alternatives for RHD 1988 LR90 turbo diesel

I am looking for suggestions for Engine alternatives for RHD 1988 LR90 turbo Diesel - the one I picked up recently needs to be rebuilt, but since it is only a 4 cyl don't really feel the cost is worth it to rebuild a 4 cyl versus finding a donor alternative.

As it is a RHD, and I'd prefer to find any Land Rover drop in alternative that could mate ok with the trans/transfer case etc, looking for both specific vehicles to search for as donors, as well as ANY available options anyone may know of (preferably close to Dallas area the better for cost on transportation).

    appreciate any assistance - mrdoiron@gmail.com, 469 408-2794

    thanks, mike

Anyone have any details to possibly share of doing a non-rover engine conversion like an LS or the like ?
Love to not repeat mistakes if I could.

I'm 13months into a LS4 in a RRC. It is a lot of work and have about 15k in it before labor cost. Right now we are hung up on transmission shift points and rev limiters. I never ends. My understanding is the D90/110 is much more straight forward as I was the first to do it in a Classic. I'd stick with a 300tdi for a 110.
