Default EBay trailer hitches... Is this a simple solution?

new guy question- will this work if bolted directly to the rear bumper? Not for really heavy stuff- but for a wood chipper thats on wheels and a small harbor freight 4x8 trailer?

looking for a cheap simple solution for light and rare trailer duty.
    Thanks!

That looks similar to the factory one on the front of my SIII (used for directing my trailer into the garage), but a little more crude. The ball on that one looks a little less than smooth, so it may damage the trailer socket over time. But, it would do for limited use.
