Default 67 series IIa w alternator - romping in the woods

    Hi oh series gurus!

New to posting but have been referencing this site for many years. So I was going through the woods and suddenly the rover stalled while trying to get over a log. Now it will not start. I have no spark. Tried the distributor cap trick and sp plug and no spark. It cranks, changed the distributor cap still no spark.

There is only one wire to the distributor from the coil, correct?

Battery is fully charged at 13.4 V. Just changed the ignition coil for a brand new one. Is it possible that my distributor died? It feels like some wire got loose but I can't seem to find it.

I would love some pics. All my wires were painted black from a former owner and there are some wires that don't connect to anything

    Any assistance would be appreciated!

There should be a secondary wire from coil to the distributor... For a 67, the wire will run from the negative post of the coil into the side of the distributor.

See the "standard ignition" image here: http://www.mgbreakers.com/accusparkwire.htm
