    Default Where to mount seatbelt

Where should the inertia reel (retractable seat belts) be mounted on a Series. I only see the back of the seat box as an option. There is not enough clearance on the door post. I bought HMMHV 3-point belts.

Mine's mounted to a bracket behind the door opening, onto the galvanized trim. See photo:

    Hey, Armordave,
How did you remove that bolt that holds the seat belt to the seat frame? There's no room to fit a socket.

    ArmorDave,

How do you loosen that large bolt that the original seat belt is fastened with to the seat box? Because the door jamb is so close (not to mention that bolts holding the triangular bracket to the body), I can't get a socket or even an open-ended wrench on it.

    Thanks,
    Phreaddy
