Thread: Diff lock question?

  1. #1

    Default Diff lock question?

On the transfer case of a Defender 5 speed, which way does the liff lock get pushed to lock? Left or right? Should it lock in place? This is a 3.9 V8, R380 and LT-230 in the wife's 109.

    Thanks,
    Bob

Thanks for the info. High and Low work fine, but the handle doesn't "latch" into diff lock like I would expect. The handle moves easily, and I can see the linkage moving. Hmm, I just might have to take it apart.

    Thanks again,
    Bob

Also spray the heck out of it with some WD40... helps a lot!!!

My old 90 wouldn't move, I ended up having to take the plate off and drill out the slide. It was damn near rusted shut!!!!
