Default Substitute for Lucas 8FL turn signal flasher unit

Can anyone recommend a substitute for the Lucas 8FL 12V 3.6A directional flasher? Mine has "35048A 1170" on it. I found something on ebay that looks close:

But the technical information leaflet from Lucas says there were lots of different models of the 8FL depending on the needs of each model car. I need one for a 1970 IIA.

The 1170 is the build date of the part, week 11 in 1970 . The EBay one has provision for the wattage of a 5W side repeater bulb as well as the front and rear . It would work but flash slightly slower than the correct one although the advert is contradictory , the picture shows a 35408 but the advert is for a 35409. I would contact them and confirm and say you want a 35408.

    Thanks, that's very useful.
