    ok from what i can find there a lot of electrical things in my truck not workin, there doesn't seem to be any power in the brown wire on alot of the things that dont work, but coming off the ignition there is power on the brown wire, any ideas

    I suggest checking the fusible link on the brown wire, where it attaches to the battery. The fusible link is situated just behind the coolant bottle, generally wrapped in insulation tape. The are 5 or six fusible links at his point, meter out the faulty one and either purchase a similar link or as I have done before, replace it with an in-line fuse holder of the same value, ie 20A or 25A etc.

    it was actually the big bunch of smaller wires behind the battery, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction les, i owe you a beer i guess i should have reread that pefore i posted thanks again
