    Unhappy shimmy/hiccup at 55mph and 1900 rpm in a 93lwb

    Hi.

    All is not well.

Shimm/hiccup seems new. Not sure if tranny, plugs/wires/, suspension.

My mechanic messed with things to put a Southway plate on the bottome of the front (protects axle)....could he have unknowingly given me a "death shimmy" or the like?

This did not happen before that modification. He is super...perhaps a worn bolt...

    Default

i've heard it can be caused by a couple of things:
    1. steering damper,
    2. swivel shims pre-load adjustment
    3. worn bushes,
    4. tyre pressures
    5. steering box adjustment
