    Default Transmission Control Unit

    The dealer wants $2000 to replace my control unit after i just replaced my transmission and transfer case. I see the part for $200 online - is this something I can replace myself?

    Default is this the XYZ switch?

    Or also called neutral safety switch.
    If it is and you're a bit mechanical, it's really a simple swap. The hardest part for me was getting the electrical plug unpluged. If you have skinny hands this will help.
