    Default Problem Area Discovered: Suggestions?

Upon closer inspection, I noticed one of the mounting areas next to the transfer case is cracked. I'm not sure if this is the 5th gear extension box or what as I am still not completly familiar. I don't feel any performance problems through daily driving but I'm wondering if this is something that will need to be replaced soon?

I don't think I would be overly concerned just yet. Just keep an eye on it. If need be it can be heliarced. LT230 transfer cases are out there a'plenty. Try Paul Grant if you want to locate one to have for backup.
